It is with heartfelt regret that our mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
A wonderful and creative lady who enjoyed many interests along with her loving cats and dogs over the years. Her humour and wit will be sorely missed by us all, Warren and Jenny, Mark and Caroline, Grandchildren Jak, and Georgie, and Sheba the cat. Many thanks John for your support of her over the years.
- A celebration of Yvonne's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 10:00am on Saturday, January 24, followed by burial at Portobello Cemetery. Messages can be left on Yvonne's page below.

To Warren, Mark and families- I am sorry I can't be there tomorrow to send off the Grand Dame. Yvonne and I bonded over the cosmetic counter of Arthur Barnett many moons ago. We shared an interest in massage and natural therapies as well as the theatre. We went on to share the stage on a couple of occassion and I will never forget the way Yvonne lit up the stage, she was so captivating. Yvonne welcomed me into her home, cooked for me and treated me like the most important house guest, always remembering small details to make the experience unforgettable. We spent many hours having deep and meaningful conversations, age was never a barrier between us, in fact, I believe I grew as a person with her shared knowledge. I often referred to her as my "surrogate Gran", and she loved my family as her own and especially enjoyed the company of my little dog in her last month's. Yvonne will forever be in my heart and mind and I know she is smiling down on us as she has "kindly left the stage".
Fond memories of appearing onstage alongside Yvonne, a delightful woman with a real twinkle in her eye. RIP and my condolences to her family at this sad time.
