Peacefully, at home, after a courageous battle; aged 78 years.
Dearly loved husband of Mary, loved and cherished Dad of Keri and Willie, Cara and Richard, Donna and Courtney, Bob and Stella. Adored 'No 1 Supporter' of his grandchildren Daniel and Georgie, and Tamara; Jaime, and Morgan; Jahliah; Noa, and Syrah; and proud great-grandad of Eva, and Maia; and Reggie.
Tiny's whānau wish to sincerely thank the Otago Community Hospice, District Nursing, Dunedin Hospital Oncology and all of the medical and hospital personnel who have provided care and support to Tiny over the years.
A service to celebrate Tiny's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 10am on Saturday February 28, the funeral then leaving for Dunedin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Tiny is resting at home until 2.00pm on Friday for anyone wishing to visit. It was a real honour to coach the Kavanah College First XV with Phil, and to teach and get to know several of his family. My sincere condolences on the loss of this top bloke, we are all so much richer for knowing him. My loving thoughts and support are with you all in this tough time. RIP Champ.
