Trudy Gay Quirk

To Trudy’s family I was so incredibly sad to hear about Trudy. She was such a wonderful woman, full of energy, full of life, and she set the bar pretty high for what good management and good leadership should look like. So many people, including me, were lucky to learn from her. She took a punt on a high school kid and gave me my very first job, and I will never forget that. That opportunity meant the world to me at the time and it shaped so much of what came after. She probably had no idea how much it meant. I also absolutely loved her sense of humour and the way she was always committed to doing what was right, even when it wasn’t easy. She had a great personality, and I loved our chats. She will be so, so missed. My heart just breaks for all of you. Thinking of you all x

What a beautiful service honouring your gorgeous mum, partner, daughter & friend. I met Trudy at Grants Braes school. Macee was the same age as my daughter Kacey. I remember talking to Trudy as we watched our girls on the slide. I coached our girls at primary netball & Trudy was always there to support & brought oranges for halftime. Cruz was in the baby capsule. Connected again years later when another of her friends passed away & then through subway for work catering. She was always up for a chat. Absolute star of a woman. To Trudys family, friends and the Learning Place Team. I am so sorry to hear this news. Trudy was infectious and and passionate. Trudy you were a long distance collegue who became a special friend. Our banter about the north verses south's weather, among other things, and you taking the time to be so personable meant the world to me. I will miss our chats and and your warmth. Such a beautiful soul who I enjoyed being around every time, never a dull moment.
