On September 6, 2025, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family; aged 55 years.
Much loved and darling daughter of Judy and the late Erle, adored and loving sister and sister-in-law of Nic, Meg and Jimmy, and Alastair, devoted and loved Aunty Ton to Thomas, Reuben, and Teo; Ed, and Beth.
A service to celebrate Tonya's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2pm on Friday, September 12, followed by private cremation.

Such precious memories of Ton are brought to mind. Tonya’s first teaching appt at JHHS in Invercargill and her time living with me at Abbot Street. And also the time we had in Perth. I remember those little red dresses and Earl’s care of the girls at bedtime. And the elephant story which had to be read several times. Tonya's love burned brightly wherever she went. I met her when she wanted to become a Refugee Support volunteer with Red Cross and she impressed me with her spirit, devotion and compassion. Just last year, we reconnected while she was the Enviroschools key teacher for Otago Boys and she was just as I had remembered her - shining so bright. I wish I had been able to spend more time chatting with her! All the aroha to her friends and whānau as we adjust to a life without her beautiful presence. She is missed by so many more than she probably knew.

Our family have wonderful memories of Tonya, Nicky and Megan, along with Jo, Katie and Becca Hunt at Yallingup, Western Australia, in the "Old Shed", way back in the 1970's. I feel very privileged to call Ton, friend and are richer for sharing many life's moments - joys, struggles, adventures and simple everyday things - with her. Ton - you will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Justice family at this tough time., 🙏
