On April 7, 2025, after a long battle; aged 63 years. Loving wife of Bill, loved mother of Jason, Wilson and Gabi, daughter of Ata Johns, cherished and loving friend of many. Thank you to the staff of Ward 8C, Dunedin Hospital, and her best friends Kathryn, Lois, and Cathy.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2.00pm, on Saturday, April 12, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Pancreatic Cancer Research would be appreciated and may be left below. Messages can be left on the link below, along with livestream link.

Dear Bill, Jason, Wilson and Gabi. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. I was lucky enough to bump into Sue at work one day after not seeing her for a number of years, and she was still the bright, bubbly person she always was. Deepest sympathy to you all. Michelle (née Doyle).
Today I received a message from my brother informing me of Suzanne passing (notice in newspaper). Suzanne moved in next door to me when I was 8 years old and was my best friend till I moved to Auckland at 17 . I am deeply saddened. Suzanne was one of the most loyal people I have ever known. Lovely personality, I can't remember her ever saying a bad word about anyone. I will be forever grateful that she was my friend. Loved forever xxxx

I'm so sorry for your loss of a beautiful, strong no bullshitting Wahine, I didn't personally know Sue, my mum and Aunty did, and they just both adored her as a wonderful friend and colleague, they would do mini holidays together girls getaways. I wished I had gotten to meet Sue. Much Aroha to Bill & the boys. What an absolute wonderful lady.
Regrettably unable to be present at the service, but wish to acknowledge the massive contribution Sue gave to both the job we shared, and the cooperation and camaraderie we enjoyed. From an appreciative workmate. Rob.
