It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to have crossed paths with Shona through work. From the very first time I met her, her deep love and passion for her family shone through so clearly. Her dedication to the many families who came through Catholic Social Services was truly inspiring and has made such a difference in their lives. Shona’s beautiful smile and warm, generous nature will be fondly remembered by us all. Sending prayers and blessings to all of you. Hold tight to the precious memories you shared together. Shona was an absolute honey to know. Fun loving, wise, sharp tongued sometimes, caring always. I love her smile and her hearty laugh. Bless you, family, as you miss her presence and mourn together. May her larger than life being bring joy to your memories over these next weeks and always. Much love, Shelley-Anne and Nigel. X. X x

I feel so grateful to have had Shona as my godmother. Her enormous kindness left a lasting imprint on my heart—she gave so freely, with warmth and a gentle strength that made you feel instantly safe and seen. Her laugh—oh, that laugh—was unforgettable. It lit up rooms and lifted spirits, and it’s something I’ll carry with me always. I was fortunate to say goodbye to her in February, to share one more moment, one more thank you. Though my heart aches, I know she’s still with us, watching over us from the other side. Thinking of Craig and the family and sending you all my love. Rest peacefully, Shona. You are deeply loved and always will be.

So sad for you Craig and family. Shona was a wonderful, bubbly, caring person with that loud laugh. I have fond memories of sitting at your kitchen table in Lewis Street, back in the early 90s, and chatting over a cuppa. I bet she was the best Nana too. Sending heartfelt love and hugs to all x

Although we can celebrate Shona’s graduation from this life to the next, her departure leaves a huge gap in our lives. Our beautiful, sparkling Shona, in her kind and gracious way, had the ability to put anyone at ease. Sending our love and hugs to the family, wrapped in liquid words. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, he rescues those whose spirits are crushed” Ps 34.18
