Lynda was always a ray of sunshine on the postnatal ward, she was always cheerful and caring...to colleagues and to the women in her care.
A woman of faith, kindness and grace and a midwife of courage, wisdom and patience. Thank you for teaching me as a student, a new midwife and a new parent. Thank you for the extra care you showed me and my whanau when we struggled with life-altering illness. Thank you for the delicious food! Thank you for sharing stories on night shift. Kua wheturangitia koe.
Tita Lynda have peace in the loving arms of our good Lord.I will miss the time when we were together in US for 1 month with tita Baby. You cooked food for us...
I have so many things to say about Lynda. She is the kindest and understanding person I met; a hardworking and a loving mother to her four children (one of them Rona was born to eternal life years ago and my god niece as well) She finds time to talk to you and always there to give a helping hand. A lot more good things about her but I would rather keep it in my heart. Rest assured my dear sister- in- law that I will continue praying for you that you will have a safe resting place in the hands of the Lord.🌹❤️🙏🙏🙏
To my dearest Tita Lynda. The last time I chatted with you was on May 31, 2025. I wanted to check in on how you’re doing. We have our own chats, just the two of us. Reminding me to always take great care of my mom. I still remember vividly when I heard the news of your sudden illness. It broke my heart because it was just a few months after I saw your beautiful face in New Jersey in April 2024 during Eddie and Rachel’s wedding. I told myself I’m glad i was able to see you there and gave you a tight hug and even had our wonderful conversation late night. I’ve prayed for you every day for Father God to give you extra strength - mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually during your treatments. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to join you and the family to visit the Philippines in June to celebrate your life and legacy you’ve left behind. You will always be in my heart Tita Lynda Thinking and missing you Tita. I love you. Thank you for being an amazing Tita to me especially when I was growing up in the Philippines and letting me spend overnight during the weekends with you and your family at Gao Fairview. Thank you for sharing your love with me unconditionally when I was growing up. You are an amazing Tita. Rest now in peace and power my dearest Tita Lynda I know you will always be our Angel watching us in Heaven ❤️🥰😘👩🏻🤝👩🏼😘🥰❤️
I will always remember my sister, Lynne, as a woman of strength. She fought the battle with this dreadful disease with every ounce of courage left in her. Despite the pain it caused, the treatments she endured, she never let the illness defeat her spirit. Her spirit was too big for that. She faced each day with unwavering courage. Her kindness and compassion and immeasurable love sustained her weak body with enough strength to travel back to her adopted homeland of Dunedin to be with her family, loved ones, and friends. She valiantly fought the battle and never gave up. As I said in my eulogy, "Let us not be defined by the sorrow of her passing, but by the legacy she leaves behind. A legacy of strength, compassion, and unshakable love." Rest well, my dear sister. You were, and will always be, deeply remembered.
