My deepest condolences to Robbie’s family. I had the privilege of knowing Robbie through working at DCC he was such a great man. He was always kind, genuine and great to have a laugh with. I have many fond memories of our time working together and feel very grateful to have known him. Thinking of you all and sending my heartfelt sympathy at this very difficult time. ❤️

Deepest condolences to Janice and family. I worked at DCC for many years in close proximity to Robbie. He was very knowledgeable and did not mind sharing that with others, especially during my time working in the Property Search Team. Robbie had a great personality and took an interest in you as a person. He was a real family man. He will be greatly missed. It has been a privilege to know you Robbie. Rest in peace.

Robbie you are a bloody legend, someone who always did a lot for others no questions asked. Thank you Robbie for always being a great friend to mum and dad and always going out of your way for our family. You’re now at peace and will be with Tony having a laugh and speights. Losing a friend like Robert leaves a void that words cannot easily fill. He was a very close mate since our early school days, a truly exceptional bloke. The kind of mate who was always there when it mattered, bringing warmth into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he & I, whom he always called Fitty, were laughing over old stories, or navigating the ups and downs of life, Robert was a constant, dependable anchor. Robert had a unique way of making the good times better and the tough times easier to bear. His genuine kindness and easy-going nature meant that he never met a stranger, only future friends. He approached life with a generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand, offer a word of support, or break out with a sense of humour that had us rolling with laughter. It is those shared moments—that I will carry with me & miss the most. To Robert’s family, thank you for sharing my absolute deepest condolences & apologies for not being able to come across the ditch at this time. The love and values he carried were a direct reflection of the incredible environment he came from. While we feel an immense sadness today, I hope we can also feel a deep sense of gratitude for the time we did get to spend with him. Robert lived his life well, loved his mates fiercely, and left the world a brighter place than he found it. Rest easy, mate. You will never be forgotten. From your mate Fiddy (aka David Fitchett)

I had the privilege of working with Robbie at DCC from 2000. I remember fondly the time we all had desks close to each other and the fun we used to have with Al, "underarm" and Carmen. I learnt so much about seepage from Robbie and it's a pity I never used it.. There was the great time when he had his beard shaved off and I think I still have that photo somewhere. Robbie was always an optimistic man and was never negative. I could never understand his love of cars though!

Dear Herb and family, I am very sorry for your loss , I have known Robbie for a very long time attending Macandrew Intermediate and later Tech with him. I also remember Robbie and Errol driving to school in their 36 Dodge. Later we worked out of adjacent buildings in Hillside Road him being a plumber and me a washing machine mechanic. After that we often worked together on jobs as there was always a laugh. He as always a good decent guy. Regards Clive Kirkland
