Robert Wayne (Bob) Aitken

I didn't no bill personally but I remembered him when I worked clearing tables at the food court in the meridian when I was probably about 17 18 years old he was sure a hard case man he would certainly make u smile even if u having a bad day he is going to be deeply missed this was a shock to me knowing he had passed on to be with the angles his spirt will still be at the food court joking around with people making them laugh rip bob ☆☆☆

Jill & Family so sorry Bob had to leave you all so soon. He was one hell of a guy, never knew what was going to come out of his mouth lol. R.I.P BOB X

Hi Bob, this is very sad but I’m glad I got to catch up with you a month or two back. Despite the tough exterior you were one of the most generous and kind hearted people I’ve known. Love to Jill and the family from Dan, Nat and the kids.

We have lived next door to Bob, Jill and Jordy for the past 20 years and have loved every minute of it. Bob was a gentle giant with the biggest heart. I would take the micky and Bob would serve it straight back. He loved a good joke at his or your expense. He had a huge impact on our sons life which I will be forever grateful. He has left a big hole in our lives that can never be filled. With all our love Mitchy, Owen, Roseanne and Sean XXXX

Sending all my love and condolences to Jill and Jordon - loved ones during this time. I'm so sorry to hear Bob has passed, and it's brought up many memories I held close with him. He supported me with his cheeky humour and quick wit while working in the mall for a few years and I can see the impact he's had on so many. I remember the day I graduated he came out of the mall to cheer me on and it's still stuck with me all these years to have his support, even though when I tried to explain what I do in marketing, all he cared about was if I got paid well haha! I will miss his presence in this world, but I'm sure he's living it up large and having many yarns as he always did. Love Cat xx

Very fond memories of Bob. He worked with my Dad (Harry Watts) at Tip Top Dunedin. And I enjoyed our catch ups at the mall over the years he was there. An amazing man. Condolences to the family.

Worked with Bob at the long defunct Fortex in Mosgiel. I can only reiterate the tributes to him that I’ve read. Top bloke, with an insane sense of humour! One thing I’ll never forget was how physically strong Bob was. In a bit of larking around one day, it took 6 men to wrestle Bob to the ground I was gobsmacked!!! My sincere condolences to Jill, and the wider family. RIP, Bob.
