Unexpectedly at his home, on June 18, 2025; aged 72 years.
Son of Richard Te Ramanui Kerei and Katene Tewhata Rongo. Loved father of Tania, cherished Grandfather of Angel, adored partner of Lynn, loved brother of Audrey, and Clarke, uncle and friend to many.

Dear Tania and Angel. Mum ( Aunt Audrey), Danny and I watched the live stream together yesterday. Sadly we could not be physically there with you. It was the most beautiful tangi that we've ever experienced. Absolutely loved your farewell to papa Richie, am sure he was smiling down at you. He had the bestest life with you. Always in our hearts. The celebrant did a fabulous everything in celebrating his life. All going well, we look forward to joining you on the journey home to Aramiro. All of our love and big hugs to you darling. Koe Mai raa e te koro ❤️ I may not have fully known you but I am one of the youngest grandchildren of Simon Te Ramanui Kerei, my mum is the oldest daughter of Simon and we send all our love and regards we wished we would have been there but due to short notice, my mum shares her feelings emotions and lots and lots of love during this time ❤️

Our very deepest sympathy to you, Tania & Angel. We are thinking of you always, sadly we will be in hospital still but will watch live stream so will still be with you. Uncle Parry said it was a privilege working beside Ritchie at the meat works back in the day, lots of laughs, big strong fella that he was with a big heart.
