-- On November 4, 2024, peacefully at her home with family at her side; aged 86 years.
Loved wife of David for 64 years, wonderful mother and mother-in-law, cherished grandmother, and great grandmother, big sister and sister-in-law of her brothers, and sisters, and their families. Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff and caregivers of the Otago Community Hospice and Health NZ.
She shall be missed by many family and friends.
-- A service to celebrate Nuala's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 11.00am on Saturday November 9, followed by private cremation. Donations to the Otago Community Hospice in Nuala's memory would be appreciated.

To David and family. Have been thinking of you from over here in Australia. I always remember Nuala sharing advice with me on being the parent of teenage girls. Of course it was delivered in a very light hearted fashion. Sending love to you all.
Condolences to David and all the Family, and a special thank you to Laura for all the efforts over the last few months. I am so sorry we couldn't make it down for the funeral. Being a friend of the family and attending as many parties as I did, it was like being a part of the family. Thank you for those great memories. Dear David,Maria,David Patrick,Kathleen,Kevin and your families As a young girl I went often to stay with Nuala and David. If David was working late Nuala and I used to listen to Ronald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected on the radio, we were both terrified and when David came in we were restored to good spirits. Those early years with both of them and the children are an abiding memory…they were a great team, a couple of people who really found each other and had a wonderful family together. I would like to have put a link to Harry Chapin’s timeless song, All my Life’s a Circle, but the online versions are not great - he tragically died young, so I’ll quote him as follows ‘ I found you a thousand times I guess you've done the same But then we lose each other It's just like a children's game But as I see you here again The thought runs through my mind Our love is like a circle Let's go 'round one more time’ Love and blessings Cela
