Sincere condolences to the Rickard families. My late parents Rev John and Dorothy Sinclair were very grateful for Nan’s friendship over many years through First Church, and her kindness to our family. They both spoke often of her service to the church and how much she enjoyed life. Kind regards.

Wishing to pass on our condolences to Nan,s family. She was a fantastic, lovely person and she will forever be in our hearts. Tony, Michelle, Antonia and Jazlyn.

Nan will certainly be missed. What an amazing woman, and it was so special to hear even more about her life today and how much she stood up for others. The service was beautifully done, and so many of us really appreciated being able to join you via the livestream. Sending lots of love to Lisa, Julie, Brendan, Errol, Ross and all the family.

In memory of a lovely lady and a wonderful neighbour. So many conversations and laughs were enjoyed over a very long time. A special friend of my late wife Janice. Nan was a lady who always asked after the family and genuinely cared about everyone. Thoughts of Lowburn are memories that we will cherish and never forget.

It was so lovely spending some time with you more recently, Nan. I loved hearing all about your involvement with Toastmasters and how revolutionary you were with your core group of friends, with women and speaking. You clearly enjoyed it so much and loved bringing people together. You really have the most interesting background. Thinking of your family xx.

To Nan As i travel the outback of Australia today, i will be thinking of you and the memories we have. I cant be at the service today and it breaks my heart. Im sure as you look down, you can understand the circumstances. Id like to share a few cherish memories i think about when you come to mind. I think of the Christmas days we had when we all sit in the front room and us kids taking turns being santas little helper's handing out everyones presents. I think about the days you took Cassie and i to the dinosaur park and the days we spent with you (we loved those Mr.Bean tapes and the baking we done) I think of the holidays at Lowburn enjoying the sun and eating the fruits from the trees. And of course the mountain of walnuts we cracked. I will be watching the stream today - wherever i may be. Watch over us all. Love you Nan ❤️

To Nan, thank you for your friendship. It was always a delight to catch up. Our family loved staying at your beautiful holiday home at Northburn. You really will be missed by the Muller Family and others in Cromwell. To Errol, Julie, Lisa and Ross, I am sorry for your loss. Just letting you know how Nan was so proud of you all. I remember her eyes sparkling as she gave me an update on how you all were. I see parts of Nan’s super friendly personality and her sense of humour in all of you (but especially in you Julie)! To Brendon and Sarah, you are such special friends. Sending you both lots of love in this difficult time. Stay strong. I can’t wait till you are back in Melbourne to give you both a big hug.

Sending my love to Nan's whole family, but particularly to Lisa, Julie, Brendan, Ross and Errol. Nan has been a large part of my life since I was 13 and started a life long friendship with Lisa. Even prior to my meeting Nan, my grandmother knew her from Toastmistresses (gosh, what a terrible name)! Nan's tins were always full of good baking, even though she was working fulltime when we were at school. Lisa's job was to come home and peel the potatoes and get them ready for dinner, but we all came for the cakes and to watch Lisa work. Nan ran the house like a well-oiled machine, but most importantly it was calm (to me anyway!). She visited Lisa in Australia, picnic-ed with my family in the Waitaki Valley and hosted us as we came and went from Perth to Dunedin, always with a twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. Nan was interested in us, asked questions and always kind. I wish that I could be there to remember Nan at the service, but I will be watching. I wholehartedly share in Louise Braham-Osbornes sentiments. Nan was a fiesty, hard working, well respected, and much loved woman. She had a successful career, was an intagral member of Dunedins first Toastmistress society, supported local charity and, last but not least, she was a wonderful mother to Errol, Brendon, Julie, Ross and Lisa. She will be very much missed and I join with all of Nans the family and friends in celebrating her life. Sent with special love Rachel and Saul xx
