McALEVEY, Mona Frances - On July 24, 2024 in the care of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Brockville; aged 100 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loved mother and mother-in-law of Elizabeth and Innes McColl, Michael, the late Susan, Richard and Heather, Timothy, Alistair and Jan, Jean, Helen Homan, Tony and Sian, Simon, Fiona and Sharon, and Jonathan, and a much loved Grandma of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 295 Brockville Road, Brockville, Dunedin, at 10:30am on Monday, July 29, followed by private cremation.

Grandma, you are an inspirational woman and I hope you’re having fun in your afterlife! You downplayed your skills in typically stoic fashion, but your ability to create things of beauty out of the mundane was pretty exceptional. Christmas at your place in the 1970s and 80s was hectic but there was always a handmade gift and tasty treat of some sort. The tree decorations made out of Leggs stocking Eggs were truly memorable. Sewing, leather, embroidery, dolls, there was nothing you couldn’t do. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made, rest in peace. Love, Nikki
