To Michael, a dear colleague and a true friend. You were always ready to share a good story over a Victoria Bitter, and I was truly looking forward to hearing about your latest holiday when you returned. Your unwavering dedication to your work and your unique sense of humor will always stay with me. Rest in peace, mate.

Mike, It's so hard to find the words to capture the essence of the light you bought into our lives. Any mention of your name always raises a smile on our family's faces, your cheeky presence in our household every summer over the New Year period, always a highlight. So many fabulous memories with the key ingredient being your low key love that you bought to our days with your steady presence, your willingness to muck in on the hard jobs ( 10am pies and ice creams, couch cuddles with the kids, movie watching, snacks and outdoor games) and always, always a good yarn. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. So sorry that Quinne and I won't be there for your final farewell on this earth but of all the things I loved most about you, I know you that understand. We will be baking a cake on the 14th Jan for you Mike, never forgotten. Love, Nic and Quinne xxx

With much sadness we bid our friend and colleague farewell. We have all been very fortunate to share our workplace with you and so many have benefited from your reliability, diligence and commitment. We will always remember your willigness to contribute but also your cheeky wit and entertaining banter. At this tender time, our thoughts go out to all family and friends as we remember Michael fondly. So sadly missed.

Well Mikey when they made you they definitely broke the mould. Our tennis every Thursday night was the highlight of our week. The good humoured banter, the dodgy line calls and bragging about sleeping with our wives will be sadly missed. Your second serve could do with a bit of work but your presence was priceless. on behalf of Steve Ian Tung and all the fill in players who had the absolute pleasure of knowing you - thanks for the laughs and good times. We will miss you our Friend. Game Set and Match. Champion Mikey

Uncle Mike ❤️ You left us far too soon, but the memories you gave us will stay forever! Thanks for the all the laughs, dance moves, fun competitive times and winding up all the kids just to give them back, then proceed to tell me to control my kids hahaha🤪 Our kiwi christmases will never be the same without you, seeing your big cheeky smile and hearing that cheeky laugh. Your banter will be dearly missed and I will carry these memories with me forever and always. Thanks for always listening to me and giving me the best advice 🥰 Just for you I will go have a drink, a poke and buy some scratchies (maybe I will finally win that bloody jackpot) Resting peacefully now Mike, you are still our Golden Boy with the most brownie points . Love Lucy, Sam, Bodhi & Leo xxxxxxxxx (Caloundra, QLD, Australia)

Mikey.... I'm so sad ill never get a hug again, they were the best. Living with you and the boys was a crazy time. Although you and i were the sane, normal ones. Every catch up was a joy! We dont get alot of pure, genuine, selfless, caring people like you. Till we hug again xox

Mikey boy, the one and only. Mate one of us was suppose to win lotto and buy that Lakeview apartment in Queenstown and be part time professional gamblers at the casino every night!!!! I’m hurting big time Mike , there was just no one like you, your carefree outlook on life I admired and your clunky love life I related to, ha. Going to miss you more than anything mate , we were like the chuckle brothers! And it’s now my job to keep that chuckle energy going! Every day something will remind me of you and that’s so special to me. You more than left a permanent mark on my life and I’ll be forever thankful until I join ya up there soon enough where we can continue on our merry way :)))) rest easy mikey . I love you , Jess x

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Mikey’s passing. He was my first love and the first person who truly treated me as an equal, and I learned so much from him during our time together. I will always remember him as charming, witty, funny, and incredibly caring. He was a truly special person who left a lasting impact on my life. Please accept my most sincere condolences. My thoughts are with you and all of his much-beloved family in New Zealand during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy, Nikki XX

Michael was one of a kind - fun loving, full of life, and loved by all who knew him. No matter how long it had been since we last saw each other he was always interested in what had been happening in my life. He left a big mark on life and will be remembered and missed. xx
