On January 2, 2025, peacefully at Oxford Court Resthome; aged 90 years. Loved daughter of the late Harold and Emily, loved sister of Joyce Standish (Falkirk, Scotland), loved aunty of Paul, and Martin, and a faithful friend to many.
- A service to celebrate Mavis' life will be held in St Matthew's Anglican Church, 30 Hope Street, Central Dunedin, at 2:00pm on Friday, January 10, followed by private cremation. Messages can be left on Mavis' page below, where you can find a link to livestream the service.

Mavis was a long time member of The Victoria League in Otago, she was always warm, welcoming, and ready to sit down and talk to new members. Mavis fully supported our group with Commonwealth friendship especially with ties to London and the UK. Rest in peace Mavis. From Christine Bell - Past president and current Vice President.

Mavis was such a lovely lady.My parents Arch and Jenny Matheson moved to St Matthews in 1969.when I was 7.Mavis was a part of my childhood, always beautifully dressed and had a great memory for names and faces.I now live in Hamilton and I'm so grateful I can watch her Livestream.
