Dearly loved wife of the late John Swann, loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris and Robyn, Darryl and Martine, Richard and Lisa, Jeremy and Bella, and the late Geoff, adored and loved "Nanna Marie" of Luke, and Emma; Amber, and Amy; William, Oliver, and Lily; and Ruby, loved sister of Bernie and the late Jim Pringle, the late Joan Scott and Noeline McGuire.
- At Marie's request, a private family gathering will be held.

I am sorry to hear the news of Marie passing. Love and warm wishes to all the family ♡ I supported Marie during her first few years at Summerset, and fondly remember our late night discussions, her pursuasive powers, and her fierce independence. I will never forget how excited she would get when John would visit, or the loss she felt on his passing. Rest easy Marie, thanks for the life lessons and compassion you showed me, sorry I shed more than one tear on your passing, I'll have a glass for you tonight♡
I first met Marie when I owned Robinsons Specialty Foods and I used to provide catering for occasions at Marie and John's home. Whenever I used to see Marie she was always happy to talk about what she and John had been up to. I also remember the time Marie won her new car and she was so excited to show it to me. Marie - you were a lovely lady and so sorry to read of your passing. Rest in peace xx

I am life long friend of Linda McCone)Pringle) I first met Marie and John during summer holidays in Alexandra when I was staying with the Pringle's. We would meet up with Marie and John for evening BBQ's at the Galloway river. Then in latter years when Linda was staying at Glenpark Ave. Both Marie and John were always very welcoming and the view over the South Dunedin and St Clair areas were always memorizing especially at night. Dear Family Sorry to hear of your mothers death. I have known Marie for a very long time at Mornington and latterly at Summerset where Mavis Oskam and I have visited her most weeks with Holy Communion. I have seen her go through a lot but she was always pleased to see us and we will miss her smiling face.
