After a brief illness, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 89 years.
A talented teacher, artist and gardener. Beloved wife of Noel*, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Chriss Hamilton, and Bronwyn King, dearly loved by her fur-baby Pepper, treasured Nana of Kelsie, Lainie, and Sam King; Taylor, and Jackson Hamilton, much loved sister and sister-in-law of Phyllis* and Ray* Sharland, Cedric*, and Shirley* and Jim* Barrett, adored Aunt Dawnie to Lynn*, Cheryl, and Neville. Grateful thanks to all those involved in Marie's care (*denotes deceased).

To my lovely Nana, There are so few words to describe the size of the hole you leaving has left in my heart. You filled every room you were in with love, laughs, and pure kindness. But Mate needs you now, and I know that he is going to take care of you up there. I miss you dearly and I will continue to miss you dearly until the day comes that I can see you again. Thank you for the memories and being the best Nana I could ever ask for x
