HILL, Margaret Ethel (nee Bartlett) - On March 14, 2025, peacefully at Marne Street Home and Hospital, Dunedin, after a short illness; aged 83 years.
Beloved wife of the late Kevin, loved mother and mother-in-law of John*, Ken and Gerry, much loved 'Gran' of Meghan. Loved daughter of the late Lex and Ella Bartlett, and daughter-in-law of the late Alexander (Alex) and Ellen (Nellie) Hill. Margaret is loved and will be missed by her extended family (*denotes deceased).
-- A private cremation has been held. Details of a Memorial Service in Roxburgh will be advised.

Ken and Family. I was Susan Power when I knew your dear Mother, Margaret. I knew her as a teacher of my three children, a netball coach alongside me, and as a teacher taking students to Bull Creek. Margaret had a quiet, firm and kind manner which brought out the best in pupils. I used to look up to her and tried to adopt her impressive manner. I was working in Trust Bank Roxburgh with Stephen Kuru at the time when your family so tragically lost your brother. My cuddle child, Janet passed away a long time ago now - I always remember Janet saying how she loved Mrs Hill. Sadly it is such a long time ago. Thinking of you and your family from away up in Levin, Horowhenua. May the memories always bring the warmth to.yiur hearts. Susan McPherson

Hi Ken Sorry to hear abouts Margarets recent passing. I had been getting pretty regular updates on Margrets health from Annette for several months now and in all honesty knowing your mother and how she works I think the short illness was a blessing for both you and Margaret .
