WALKER, Lloyd Allan (of Portobello, formerly Twizel) - On May 4, 2026, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 79 years.
Dearly loved husband of Marie, much loved father and father-in-law of Barry and Alison, Sharleen and Darren, and the late Colin. Adored Grandad of Wendy, Brendon, and Nathan; Caleb, Georgia, and Hayley; Andrew, and Matthew. A loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle of his extended family. Special thanks to Portobello First Responders, St John Ambulance, and Dunedin Hospital Ward 3C for their excellent care of Lloyd.
A Celebration of Lloyd's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 10am, on Saturday May 9, the funeral then leaving for Portobello Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Portobello First Responders would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

To Marie and all of Lloyds family. I have just watched the nice service for Lloyd on the live stream unsure if it was the Lloyd i knew from such a long time ago. As it turns out it was as i worked with Lloyd at Walker and Hasler and coincidentally we both served our apprenticeships with W M Camps though i dont think our paths crossed then as it seems Lloyd would have left just before i started my apprenticeship. I remember Lloyd as real character, a straight shooter, a good hardworking workmate ,who enjoyed a laugh. I am sorry for your loss and wish you all the best going with your memories of Lloyd .Please accept my condolences Mike Anderon East Taieri.
