Embroidery Machinst- On August 17, 2026, peacefully at St Andrews Home and Hospital; aged 85 years. Loved daughter of the late Connie and Peter, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Fiona and Matt, and loved grandmother of James, and Sam. Loved sister and sister-in law of Nigel and the late Robyn, the late Edie and Spencer, the late Gordon and loved and treasured aunt of her nieces and nephews. - A service to celebrate Lee's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2pm on Friday, August 21, followed by private cremation. Cheerful, competent, reliable, forthright; these words spring to mind when I think of Lee. She always had a warm smile and her cup was forever half full. She made a huge contribution to the success of Monogram House throughout its long history; from its beginnings with Margery Helps and her nephew Frank Evans, then with John Tudor and his son, Simon, Lee was always an integral part of the business. Deepest sympathy to Fiona, Matt, James and Sam and to Richard and Janice and their families – Lee was one of a kind, but your treasured memories of her, like my own, you will have forever. I was saddened to hear of Lee's passing. I am a square dancer from Christchurch and met Lee through this activity. Lee became a good friend and kindly opened her home to me whenever there was a dance in Dunedin. We shared many conversations about a variety of things. Lee presented me with a beautiful piece of embroidery for my 60th birthday as well as organising a surprise birthday gathering for me. This piece of embroidery is on display at home and will remain a treasured memory of Lee. Jan Kotlowski
So sad to farewell another Square Dancer. We enjoyed Lee's company and conversations whenever we danced.
