On September 28, 2025, peacefully at Ross Home; aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of the late June, much loved father and father-in-law of Jennifer and Scott, Phil and Karen, treasured grandad of Nicholas, and Mikayla; Brittany, and Hannah. Special thanks to the staff at Craig Unit, Ross home for all their care and support.
- A service for John will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2pm on Saturday, October 4, followed by private cremation. Messages can be left on John's page at below, where there is a link to the service.

Sorry to hear of the passing of John. It's a long while since we saw John but always remembered him as a quiet, gentle family man with his own special kind of wit. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by you all. Love from Kathy & David
I want to pass on my condolences to John's family. I am the son of Beryl, whom John's father Sid married. They had a wonderful loving "second time around" after the passing of their original spouses, and although their marriage was tragically cut short by Sid's passing they cherished their time together in Bradford Street and enjoyed a great adventure together with their overseas trip to Sid's home country and beyond. We have not kept in touch since and I only knew John briefly during that time, but remember him as a kind and thoughtful man, very much as his father was. He will be missed I'm sure, by many, and I wish his family and friends well. Best regards, Barry Walker
