Haere ra dear Jenny, my memories of you will always be linked to hot summer days at the orchard, the temperature gauge under the mulberry tree, pickling walnuts and childhood adventures. Later in Dunedin as we both got older, you were always just as interested in my grown-up adventures and we shared many a laugh over the soap-opera dramas in my life. Thanks for being a fabulous aunt as well as such a wonderful role model for a capable, caring and independent woman. Sending love to Alf, Keith and Heather and their families. Kia ora Mrs Alf. 🤣🤣🤣 This is how we will always remember you. Maria and I still couldn’t remember your name. So Mrs Alf will always stay with us. While we are sad, We know you are on another journey now but we just want to say thank you Mrs Alf. Thank you for being a part of our journey. The manaakitanga you showed us when we would rock up to your house quite often for a feed, kōrero and a good laugh as you had Alf or you would say “Alistair put the jug on and make them a coffee” haha he did more running around playing host then he would run around on the court. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 jj. And dropping me off at my flat after practice hahaha. An avid supporter of our mens netball league and how I was your favourite player. 😂😂 Thank you for those treasured memories and that lovely smile. Jenny was our neighbour and first person to welcome us to Chatsford when we moved in three years ago. We then discovered she had been in the same class as Ian’s sister at primary school (Māori Hill). We appreciated her friendship and were sad to see her failing health in recent months. Our thoughts are with her family at this time. Moe mai ra Jenny - rest now

Deeply saddened to learn if Jenny's passing. We were a great pair on F E D shifts each Wednesday night for several years and enjoyed a pleasant friendship. I have missed her since moving from Mosgiel but have many lovely memories of times spent with her. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences to the Saunders Family. I, worked with Jennifer, who was a highly respected member, of Dunedin Hospital, Day Surgery Staff for many years. I am sure to gether, as a Family and with each others support at this very sad time you all will have precious memories and when the sorrow subsides and life moves on may you all, be able to recall them and share them with each other.
