JOHNSON, Jennifer Ellen (Jenny) - On January 23, 2026, peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice, after a short and courageous battle; aged 67 years.
Beloved wife and soulmate of Ross, loved, loving, and devoted mum and mother-in-law of Daniel and Dom', and Bryce and Sarah, adored Nana of Isaac, and Caleb. Daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Des' and Nancy Paskell, and the late Carol and Gary Johnson. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Dianne and Wayne Earl, Warren Paskell, Raylene Groves, Wayne and Jan Johnson.
-- A service to celebrate Jenny's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road at 11am on Wednesday January 28, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 25 Delphic Street, Sawyers Bay, Dunedin 9023 or below, where you will also find a livestream link.

Deepest sympathy Ross and family on loss of jenny . Well I worked in Robb's wool shop with Jenny and can remember both of you dating . Yes s few years ago . Jenny was bright bubbly and full of mischief . Looked at your video and wow yes I remember that smile . Never saw her after I left Robbs as went to Sydney . I was extremely saddened this morning to learn of Jenny’s passing. So many fond memories came flooding back of the fun times we used to have in those very early days, oh and the lovely baby blue bridesmaid dress, we had fun getting ready for the big event that day and had lots of laughs. Fortunately I was able to see Jenny’s service Livestream today which was so lovely and I can only reiterate on all the wonderful words said … she truly one very special lady. To Ross and family I send love, hugs and strength to help get you through this extremely difficult time and hope that all those wonderful treasured memories embrace you all forever 💝

Hi Ross Dan and Bryce. I just watched Jenny’s service what an amazing service and a great tribute to Jenny, I am so pleased we saw her at Peggy’s funeral and caught up with you both. I remember all the times she had our boys when I was working and especially the time she had them for the night and they had chicken pox!! We got married in 1977 and we had a whiter shade of pale in our service as well, so that brought more tears to my eyes. We wish all the best for the future it will be hard without her for you all and your families.
