MUNDEN, Janice Elizabeth (Jan)
On August 29, 2024, at Dunedin Hospital; aged 82 years. Loved and adored wife of the late Tony, loved Mum to Dean and Ainslie, Barbara*, and Deborah*, loved sister and sister-in-law of Bob* and Pat*, Graeme and Judy, Marilyn and John, and Warwick*. Loved aunt and great-aunt to all her nieces and nephews. A special friend to Tony's family, and Ainslie's children (*denotes deceased).
A service to celebrate Jan's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 2:00pm, on Saturday, September 7, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Heart Foundation NZ would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages can be left on Jan's page below, and livestream below.

Sad news to hear of Janice (Cookie). My wife Barbara was a great friend since their schooldays at Queens nearly 70 years ago. I have enjoyed many happy reunions with Cookie over the last 55 years on visits from the UK.
So sorry to read of Jans passing. I really enjoyed my golfing days with Jan, she never left you wondering what she was thinking and was always encouraging to me when I first came into the Otago team. RIP Jan
I haven't known Jan for a long time, in fact only since she joined our Pilates group, but she was a 'regular' and brought 'life' and fun whenever she attended. I knew Tony much better when he worked with me in the Dental School many years ago. I was so surprised when Jan told me that she was Tony's widow. It's been a delight to get to know her. Christine and I send our sincere sympathy to the family. Rest in Peace, Jan.
