EMERSON, Ingrid Katrine (nee Holst) -
On August 3, 2024, unexpectedly at her home; in her 90th year. Much loved wife of the late George, adored Mum and mother-in-law of Richard and Norma, and Helen, treasured Grandma of Frances, and Julian, loved sister and sister-in-law of Peter and Alison (Auckland), Richard and Jo (Perth), loved sister-in-law of Les* and Gaynor (Alexandra), Alastair and Judy* (Auckland), a much loved aunt and great-aunt of her nieces and nephews and their families. (*denotes deceased).
A Memorial Celebration of Ingrid's life will be held in Emerson's Brewery, 70 Anzac Avenue, Dunedin, at 2:00pm, on Monday, August 19.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance Dunedin would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Condolences to Richard, Helen and families. I have many happy memories of times spent with Ingrid at the house in Maori Hill ( with the amazing model railway in the basement! ) and visits to Ashburton. She always showed a keen interest in what you were doing . She had such a warm smile and kind heart. Thinking of you on this memorial day. So glad mum , one of Ingrids best friends, could be there to share it with you. Will raise a pint of London Porter in her name tonight.
Due to weather I am sorry I cannot attend Ingrid's service today. Ingrid was involved, and submitted a entry for the new Radiotherapy Unit at Dunedin Hospital. Her entry covered the Otago and Southland area, and a large group from OEG happily worked on it with Ingrid. The map was divided into a grid. I did half of Stuart Island, Foveaux Strait and land. It was much admired by many people. Sincerest sympathy to all of Ingrid's family at this time. Kensie Sutton
Heartfelt condolences Richard, Norma, Helen and Family from the Smillies on the passing of Ingrid. I have many wonderful memories of Ingrid putting up with the chaos you and I caused at Brownsville Crescent as young boys over the years. A very patient, wise and kind woman, will sorely missed by many.
We always enjoyed chatting with Ingrid during the New Year's special occasions in Middlemarch. Best wishes Richard and Norma for tomorrow's memorial celebration for Ingrid.
