Sandy and I will miss cousin Herb - he was a lovely man, so kind and generous and full of interesting ideas. I know my father, John Ritchie, relished his time with Herb, usually over a whisky. I am only sorry I didn't get to know Herb and Barb earlier in life, as I know he had a strong interest in family connections. We enjoyed reading his memoir. Herb had a great sense of humour, which is so essential to the enjoyment of life and all the challenges it throws up. Rest in peace Herb, Anthony
