Graeme George Still

So deeply saddened to hear of Graeme's passing. My thoughts are with you all at this time. Graeme was one of the good guys, quiet but witty, sincere and respectful. He will be truely missed

My sincerest sympathy and condolences to Graeme’s family. Thank you seems insignificant at this time. But thank you for the sacrifices you have made over the years, to share Graeme, his skills and knowledge as a wildfire expert. Know that some of us are alive today because of men like Graeme and the community of men and women he led to battle countless blazes over the years. Graeme was struck down too soon, taken from all of us, especially his family. The world was a better place with Graeme in it. As one of the permanent residents of the Lake Ōhau Village, I will be eternally grateful to the many who battled the wildfire in 2020, but significantly, the calm reassurance from Graeme as he not only led the firefight but aided in the recovery in the aftermath of New Zealand’s worst Wildfire. Rest in Peace my dear friend – Kia kaha.

Sorry for your loss what a great man he will be truely missed worked on the rural fire under Ross Hamilton and also with Graham great times will never forget rest in peace

Graeme & Gayle, I met Graeme as a complete newbie to Fire and Emergency in 2020. since that time our paths have crossed on numerous occasions either in our work or out on the street having a surreptitious smoke/vape. I'n going to miss our chats and our laughs greatly. Graeme, a great bloke, taken way too early but if it is any consolation Gayle, you simply can't forget a true legend. I'm proud to call Graeme a 'mate'. Rest in peace Graeme - you have earned the right to do so. Charlie.

I've known Graeme for a very long time, we worked together as Panel beaters at Bridgeman Street Panel beaters Dunedin in the early eighties. we have kept contact through the years. Graeme's passing has come at a huge shock to every one that has known Graeme, my thoughts and prayers are with Gayle and her Family

Gayle, Kelly, Jardena and Ben, Liz, Gary and Chris, Janine and Nev, Karen and Barry, Brent and Viv, Craig and Karen, Gavin and families, sending love and sympathy to you all. Graeme was a great mate to our extended family, we will miss his smile, his laugh and his yarns. He had a way of always making us feel included in the family which was so special. We can only imagine the huge hole he has left for you all. So very sorry not to be with you tomorrow. Will be joining the livestream with Mum (Jean Speight) in Hyde. xxx

Very, very sorry to hear of our loss Gayle. Graeme was a really solid guy who had my back on many occasions. He will be truly missed, not only by his family, but the whole of the emergency sector in Otago and around NZ. Go well my friend Trevor Mitchell
