GG, you were the only grandpa I ever had, yet the best I ever could've asked for. I'm gonna miss you so much, I PROMISE I will always love you. Always And Forever ❤️

For GG, whose words made my day and to anyone else he’d meet. He survived cancer, two hip surgery’s and lived until he was eighty four. His smile sets a memory that I will never forget. I will miss him, and I’m sure everyone will too.

I have so many fond, funny, tender, sweet, and quite frankly heroic memories of Gary (GG). But what lingers with me is more than just moments shared... Because it was felt. And that was in his presence, his kindness and gentleness, his unassuming nature, his empathy and deep compassion, his support, his genuine curiosity, sense of humor and ability to laugh freely.... And most especially, his devoted loyalty and love for my mum, Mya, Mazie, me and my sisters, and all of the grandchildren. Gary was a remarkable man whom we will forever miss and hold dear in our hearts 🙏🏻💛🩵🤍

I’m going to miss seeing your car pull into our driveway, and see the smile and twinkle in your eyes , the sound of your laugh and the times we teared up together over things that touched us both! You truly were the most kind, loving and generous Dad, who wore his heart on his sleeve at all times. Family was your World. We will never forget you and treasure all our memories of happy times together. You will be sorely missed, so please watch over us all, send us signs and we will carry on until we can see you again ❤️❤️❤️

GG, you were always calm, gentle, and thoughtful, always ready to offer support whenever it was needed. You adored Mum, and right up until last Friday you were making sure everything was just right for her return, stocking up the juice, cleaning the windows, walking Mazie, tending to the plants, and making sure the house was exactly as she would want it. Your love showed in all the little things you did, every single day. Even in your unexpected passing, you left us with a reminder of your cheeky side. You didn’t quite manage to hide the evidence of your recent “eating choices” while Mum was in hospital, that microwave butter chicken sitting in the fridge is such a funny, human reminder of you. It’s these small, real moments that make us smile through our tears and remember you fully. I’ll always be grateful for the care you gave Mum, for all the thoughtfulness and quiet acts of love that made her life easier and brighter. You were an amazing second dad to Jamie and me, and the perfect GG to the kids. We adore you, and we will miss you so much. 🩷

Gary had the respect and admiration of the Burkevics family in Australia. I’m sure had we lived in the same city we would have become grandparents in crime to our two shared granddaughters, Saskia and Natasha. He lived a long and active life. Rest well Gary. My love and warmest regards to Gary’s family, especially to the best daughter in law Debbie.

You were the best Dad a mischievous young boy could ever have. No matter what, you always had my back and loved me unconditionally. As I grew into a man, I came to see just how wise and intelligent you truly were. You were my rock—the first person I turned to for advice—and you were always right. I’m proud of the father I’ve become, because I learned from the very best. I’m so grateful for all the cherished memories we shared, and for the time you were able to spend with my daughter.
