GRANT, Euphemia Gray (Fay) - On October 16, 2025, peacefully at Ross Home, with family by her side; aged 94 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Peter, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Nicola, Sharon and Des Whyte, Murray and Marta, Alan and Ning, Raewyn and Russell Liddell, Craig and Karyn. Loved Nana of Emma and Kenzie; Maria, Liam, and Pablo; Fern; Finn, Jack, Jorja, and Lucy; Tyne, Lochie, and Isla; and great Nana of Lily.
Keeping in Fay's giving nature, her wish was for her body to be donated to Otago University's Body Bequest Programme. A Family memorial service will be held at a later date.

My heartfelt sympathy is extended to all Fay's family. I am a resident at Ross Home and was delighted to see Fay when she arrived here. I think it was a very lonely time for her as she would spend long times sitting in the Mall often at times when she was on her own. I met Fay first when I was still out in the community and playing in the Recorder Consort, one of several ensembles and orchestras under SMMC umbrella. Fay had a love of music and would always attend our concerts when they were held in the large Hall at George Street School. Often after a concert there some of us from the Recorder Consort & the Community Orchestra would go for a cuppa and a bite to eat in the NEV region- to the Gardens, Ross Home Cafe... and I would invite Fay to join us as she was so faithful and always on her own. Often I would drive her to these after concert celebrations. She really loved it. Fay is such a warm, loving and gentle person; always interested in others and concerned for their welfare. I shall miss her presence with us here in Ross Home. May she now rest in the peace of Christ and enjoy the company of those who have died before her. Memory eternal. Fay was a treasured friend. She was a good soul. We shared a love of reading books. I didn't know that she was back at Ross Home. My condolences to her family. RIP dear Fay.
