Beloved wife of Allan Lyall, cherished mother of David, and Susan, much-loved grandmother to Connor, Zachary and Mackenzie, and a loving and trusted friend to so many.
Elisabeth enriched the lives of everyone she touched, was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Elisabeth, the world is a lesser place without your grace. I first met you as a member at my Women's Gym many years ago, then when I shared I was training to be a Celebrant you opened your home for me to visit and glean nuggets of wisdom from you. I will always remember you and feel blessed to have known you. Rest in love. To Elisabeth's family, I wish you gentle days ahead.

I met Elisabeth at St John’s church in 1980 and we have been involved in AAW, and book club. Elisabeth has been a good friend, always thoughtful such as her visit to Prague where my grandson Benji goes to school. Elisabeth returned with a large fridge magnet which has pride of space on my fridge. My life has been greatly enriched by having Elisabeth in my life.
Dear Family of our lovely lady Elizabeth. My deepest sympathy to you all my heart goes out to you. Elizabeth was such a caring person to all she came in contact with .Always with her radiant smile and gentleness. She will be remembered for all her enthusiastic work she did for our organisation of AAW providing and encouraging us to speak up for so many social justice issues. It is a very sad time for all who knew Elisabeth. My fondest memories as a cousin were our holidays at Maheno. Uncle Archie and Aunty Marj, with cousins Jim and Elisabeth, looked after us on many occasions. David, you spoke so well of your mother covering so many of her achievements and the love and passion she had for family. An excellent eulogy.
Elizabeth was a kind and wonderful woman. I am glad to have known her. Thank you for the opportunity to join with others to celebrate her life via the live streaming of her funeral. My those who loved her find peace in her passing as love connects across time.

It is with great sadness we heard about the passing of Elizabeth. My mother Patricia Bowman a cousin of Elizabeth’s has many fond memories from a young age of holidays with her cousins. Mums thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

Elisabeth was a very valued member of our organisation and was on the committee. It was always a pleasure to talk about school days and our Southland heritage. Elisabeth was a respected and cherished member of the "Taieri Friendship Group" for many years. She was always supportive of her husband Allan, in his various roles on committee and all members of the club. You will be sadly missed by all. RIP Elisabeth, you deserve to rest after all your hard work that you contributed to the many organisations in the community.
