At peace with Aunty Bernadette, sharing so many stories. My unusual circumstances of meeting Stocky were fully inspired by you and Aunty Bernadette. I remember going through pros and cons about what I was thinking, and Aunty Bernadette and trusting my instincts were why I stepped out of my comfort zone. An inspirational couple and family we all wish for 💕 Wishing you are having a beautiful catch up with Aunty Bernadette and all your loved ones 💕 Biggest hugs to Megan, Glen and all the family. My Uncle Ross, We did not know each other well and yet we were one whenever we spoke or got together. You always showed freindship and a huge grin, happy to share stories and show us your station, your waterways and life. You embraced everyone around you and made them feel a part of your life and at the same time, you a part of theirs. You always wanted to know about us, what was happening and all of our successes. I will miss you and your stories. Gentle travels Ross, may the wind always fill your sails and the water always be calm. RIP

Sending our sympathies to the Walker family on the loss of their much loved Grandad and Dad. Ross was a steadfast & caring Grandad to Nik & Ella. They shared so many fun times with Nana & Grandad as children and we enjoyed their stories of Pirate adventures. We hope the fond & fun memories will overshadow the harder ones in time. Rest in Peace, Ross.

So sadden to read this. I met Ross through his lovely daughter Megan. I remember his quirky sense of humor and him saying to me when he met our first born "Oh no Kathy, you realize that having a boy, they can come home every night of the week and say "Mum you're going to be a grandmother but if you had, had a girl, it would only be every 9 months". Take that humor with you

To The Walker Family, Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Members and Ex Members of the Ravensbourne Volunteer Fire Brigade had the privilege of having Ross as a very much dedicated member, and amazing mentor. Ross had an outstanding knowledge of all things Fire Service, a story behind everything he was teaching, never failing to create many laughs. Ross will be remembered fondly by all of the brigades past and present members, he was an active member himself, for over 12 years, from 2002 to 2013. Ross Bryant

Our condolences Glen,Megan and families. The Number One of all Number Ones was a copybook benchmark for the perfect Fire Service employee. Everybody loved working with Bosun,he was dedicated,forgiving,funny,always upbeat and his practical skills were absorbed by all who worked with him. It was my privilege to be one of many who valued him as a workmate and friend. Our apologies,we are out of N.Z at present but will view on Livestream . Bruce McGavin and Gill Eastgate.

Vale Uncle Ross. A great guy, always ready for a laugh and loved his family. Showed great hospitality when we visited. Will be missed!
