Peacefully, on October 9, 2024, after a short illness, in the company of her family; aged 98 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Dave, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Allan and Di, Raylene, and the late David, loved grandmother and great-grandmother.
A celebration of Dot's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 2.00pm, on Wednesday October 16, followed by private cremation. Messages to 899 Brighton Road, Dunedin 9035, or on Dot's page below.

We will miss you Aunty Dorrie, I didbn't get to see you as much as I liked as we lived in Auckland. But when I did get to see you it was so special, you were straight up and funny. I don't know why you called me the naughty sister out of my sisters, maybe because you looked after me as a baby when mum was sick and I was probably naughty. You were such a special Aunty and will miss you so sorry I won't get to see you when I come down next week. You lived life to the fullest and now you can rest in peace. Sadly, we are sending our sincere condolences to you our/my very dear friend, Raylene, Allan & Di & your boys, Connor, your girls & Paora. Mrs Muir, Dot to many, you were such a kind, loving beautiful soul and you will be missed dearly by everyone that crossed paths with you. My last outing with you: I'm so thankful to have spent that afternoon with you & Raylene. We picked you up, took you for a drive, bought an ice-cream at the St Clair Esplanade. We sat there & watched the people, the waves come in and that damn wind was soooo cold. You said the water looked a little cold to go for a swim today lol. I will cherish my many memories of you forever Dot. Your husband Dave has a waited a very long time for you to arrive, along with your son, David. Paul, your son in-law, is also waiting to keep caring for you for your family left behind. Sorry we can't be there in person for your Celebration of Life, but will be there in spirit. Sending much Aroha to you all & will be watching over you all tomorrow xoxoxoxox
Aww sincere condolences to Dots whanau. You were such a lovely precious wee soul who will be missed dearly. I enjoyed and will forever treasure our wee chats and laughs.
