MALCOLM, Bruce Anthony MBE, JP, CMT NZDF 924545 (Pud, The Mirror) -
Bruce played his last end on November 7, 2025 at Montecillo Veterans Home and Hospital with Margaret and all the kids by his side; aged 90 years. Dearly loved lifetime partner and husband of Margaret for 69 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Sandra and Rob Richan (Manapouri), Kevin and Jane Malcolm ( Oamaru), Rhonda and Paul Hopkins (Oamaru), Brent and Wendy Malcolm (Auckland), Brenda and Warren Myers (Tauranga). Loved Grandad, Bruce, and Pop to 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The weight of community service has lifted from your shoulders. Rest well, Dad.
A service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 11.00am on Friday November 14, followed by private cremation. Messages to The Malcolm Family PO Box 5013 Dunedin 9054 or on Bruce's page where there is also a link below to view the service.

You have my support
I'm very sorry to hear about Bruce’s passing. He was a truly lovely man. My earliest memories of him are from when I was a little boy. Bruce and Margaret, our neighbours across the road, would often sneak my sisters and me lollies as we played outside. Later, in my teens, I got to know Bruce well through the bowling club. Dad was the club’s greenkeeper for a few years, and I spent a lot of time down there with him. We’d often see Bruce there most days, quietly doing the sort of things that often go unnoticed — sweeping out the gutters, tidying up the gardens, or pulling even the smallest stray weed. He took real pride in his club and his community, and he was a local role model. He encouraged me a lot through my schooling and when I went off to university. He and Margaret even had me over for afternoon tea when I finished high school, just to congratulate me and wish me luck for the next chapter. We and the Port community were lucky to have him. Rest easy, Bruce. (Sorry I won't be there in person - am living in the UK).
Farewell Bruce, we enjoyed the time our family spent with you and Margaret, from being neighbours when Jacobi, Ariana and Maria were little, the cheeky lollies and the advice to the fierce rivalry on the bowling greens. You always were interested in Jacobi’s career and he looked up to you as a mentor. Our sincere condolences to Margaret and family. Much love. Bye big fella.
