On April 14, 2026, peacefully at his home; aged 82 years. Much loved and adored husband of the late Helen, cherished father and father-in-law of Bradford and Terri, Leighton and Ivy, loved Poppa of Saba, and Scarlett; and Finn, loved Son of the late George and Evaline. Barry was loved by all his extended family and friends.
- A service to celebrate Barry's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 11am on Friday, April 24, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to The Heart Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages can be left on Barry's page below, where there is a link to the service.

Bradford and Leighton together with your wives and grandchildren you have done your Dad and grandad an honour today with your genuine warm and moving farewell. Barry was so genuine and I am still happy I introduced he and mum so long ago. They had a good life together and raised two wonderful sons they were so rightfully proud of. Together they welcomed their daughters-in-law with love and respect and adored their grandchildren. Rest in peace Barry together now with Helen.

The Jones and Swan families have long been friends celebrating significant events and Xmas was synonymous with the Jones family. My heartfelt condolences to Brad, Terri, Saba, Scarlett, Leighton, Ivy and Finn. Helen and Barry were part of our extended family and like Helen, Barry will be remembered dearly.
Baz,You and Helen have been wonderful and loyal friends for 63 years for Stewart and 50 years for me and we miss you so much . An end to many fun antics and laughs with rugby racing and beer, red wine and our kids. We were always very honest with each other and never had a row, we loved our friendship. You taught me to only drink good red wine and not rubbish Helen and grateful for Barry having same interests in sport as Stewart so we could polish off another bottle . We know Barry has longed to be alongside Helen again and has got there peacefully. May you both rest lovingly together knowing you left a beautiful legacy with Bradford and Leighton , 2 daughter in laws and 3 grandies to carry on . From The Gillan Family
