On October 2, 2024, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital; aged 48 years.
Dearly loved daughter of Dorothy and Robert, adored sister and sister-in-law of Sue, and Jocelyn and Joseph. Loved Aunty of Olivia, and Thomas. Loved by all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff of Ward 7B and 7C at Dunedin Hospital for their care and compassion.
A service to celebrate Alison's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 11am on Tuesday, October 8, the funeral then leaving for Dunedin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Neurological Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service or below. Dear Mullen Family, It is with a heavy heart thhat I heard of Alison's death whilst I was off work. I have had the pleasure of being involved with her care for the last 11 months. What a precious lady she was and I will always cherish the special times I shared with her. She will continue to hold a special place in my heart. Many memories of Alison from the kindy run, as neighbours, and her teacher aide in Home Economics at Gore High School. Always admired the love and care shown by her two sisters.
Thoughts and prayers for you all as you said goodbye. What wonderful memories you have of your times together, and the lessons Alison taught will remain. Robert, Dorothy, Susan & Jocelyn, I’m saddened to read of Alison’s passing. My Dad and I loved spending time with her in your home and in his in Oamaru. Always a twinkle in her eye as she loved to say “Bob” and of course she had a great laugh when Dad would tease her. Sending much love to you all.
